Evaluation of the effectivness of mergers and acquisitions

<div>Graduate work is devoted to assessing the effectiveness of mergers and acquisitions by examining the financial condition of each of the companies involved in the transaction; valuations, based on which assesses the effectiveness of the transaction.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>In this paper the differences in terms of mergers and acquisitions, the classification of different types of transactions M &amp; A, motives and stages of mergers and acquisitions. There were various models of valuations on which assesses the effectiveness of transactions M &amp; A.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>As the study was selected transaction merger of JSC &quot;OGK-2&quot; and JSC &quot;OGK-6&quot;. Analyzed the activity of the companies. Were systematized and adjusted for comparability implementation, accounting reporting. Further assessed value of the company and various methods based on their calculated synergies.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>This study led to the conclusion that the application of existing methods for assessing the effectiveness of mergers and acquisitions has a different interpretation of the results depending on the method of valuation of companies. The direction of further study presents an analysis of the most significant factors in the M &amp; A transaction and a detailed study of the factors identified.</div>
