In this study we compare the features of political activism of eldery citizens of Russia, Czech and Sweden. The investigation was conducted on the basis of European Social Survey, round 6 (2012/2013). Using binary logistic regression we analyzed the influence of social ties, political aptitude, ageism, appurtenance to an ethnic minority and a number of other demographical characteristics on political activism manifestation in individual, contact and collective modes. In the analysis we found a strong influence of education on political activism manifestation in all three countries. In Russia the interest in politics has the same influence.

Political activism of Swedish eldery largely depends on age and gender, in Czech - different characteristics are important on different modes of political activism.

The hypothesis about influence of ageism and appurtenance to an ethnic minority wasn't confirmed, as well as an influence of social ties.

Moreover, we found out that a chance of Swedish eldery to political activism manifestation in some form is better than chances of Russia and Czech citizens.
