Abstract to master's research by Pavlov S."Psychoanalytic diagnosis of personality"Master's research on "Psychoanalytic diagnosis of personality" is devoted to the study of the basic aspects of personality diagnostics in psychoanalysis.This paper examines a number of works by domestic and foreign authors. It also outlines the basic psychoanalytic theories of character development and formation, presents the types of characters and characteristics of individuals having different levels of mental organization.As regards the issue of mental organization level, the types of psychotherapy (psychoanalysis, expressive therapy, maintenance therapy) indicated for patients with neurotic, borderline and psychotic personality organization are considered.In conclusion, a scheme of the primary interview, similarities and differences of interviews worked out under various psychoanalytic approaches are presented. The structural interview and primary interview in case of the interpersonal approach are given as an example.The paper makes it possible to describe the basic mechanisms of forming of personal character as a collection of rigid mechanisms of adaptation and communication, as well as major conflicts underlying each type of character.This paper systematizes the main aspects of psychoanalytic personality diagnostics, by adapting them for use as part of other non-psychoanalytic therapeutic approaches, including psychological counseling and coaching. It allows psychologists, as well as coaches without psychoanalytic training, using its results when working with their clients.
