Abstract of Master Thesis «Migration Policy in Moscow (2011-2015)» By student of 802/1 group, educational program “Political Challenges in Contemporary World” Natalia A. Simikina This study is devoted to the analysis of migration policy in Moscow from 2011 to 2015. We take the regulatory framework of federal immigration policy, regional legislation, institutions involved in the implementation of the migration policy in Moscow into close consideration. A significant increase in transparency of permanently reformed migration system should be noted as a positive result. However, analysis of the economic and demographic situation in Moscow and instruments of migration policy demonstrated a gap between the principles that claimed and actual situation. First of all this contradiction manifests itself in the lack of attention of Federal Migration Service of Moscow to the issue of integration of migrants in Moscow community. In our opinion, the role of civil society organizations, which on the contrary succeeded in this direction is undervalued. Furthermore, it was described in detail the problem of obtaining adequate and complete statistical data on migration situation in Moscow. Scientific supervisor Associated professor, PhD Nikolay G. Sherbakov
