A Social Policy of the Roh Moo-Hyun`s “Participatory Government”: Searching for the Ways to Overcome the Socioeconomic Crisis

The project is devoted to examining the socioeconomic policy in the Republic of Korea in the beginning of the 21st century and aimed at discovering the main points that distinguish it from other periods. The problem of this study is the influence of peculiar program of state development which was offered by administration of Roh Moo-Hyun because of its set of steps to overcome consequences of Asian economic crisis in a social sphere. The research is mainly focused on the theory of welfare state and fair distribution and operates such categories as Gini index, progressive tax rate and wage pick-system that represent cultural trait and distribution of wealth.
