Regional Policy in China. Current State and Evolution During Years of Reforms and Openness

The policy of Reforms and Openness (Chinese 改革 开放; Gayge Kaifeng) is a program of economic reforms undertaken in the People’s Republic of China, aimed at the creation of so-called socialism with Chinese characteristics, or the socialist market economy and openness to the outside world. Regional policy is an essential part of the strategy of economic development and modernization. The aim of this graduation work is to studythe process of development of regional policy in the People's Republic of China from 1978 to the present time. The work gives a detailed analysis of the current state and evolution of development strategies in different regions of China.
