The Influence of Mergers and Acquisitions on Bank's Value

This paper considers the role of mergers and acquisitions in the determination of the cost of bank capital . The period selected for analysis - 2010-2015 . The sample consists of 61 banks, 11 of which participated in a merger or acquisition during the period , which is under consideration . A model was constructed based on the volume of the bank's equity, net of the subordinated loan and the merger and acquisition data , which resulted in the conclusion that the mergers and acquisitions adversely affect the cost of capital of Russian banks.
