The Global Dimension of Cuba`s Contemporary Foreign Policy: the Specifity and Strategic Issues
International Relations
(Bachelor’s programme)
7
2016
This paper examines the main trends of Cuba's contemporary foreign policy, its features and strategic issues. Nowadays Cuba is becoming more attractive for other states in terms of investment and geopolitics; Liberty Island is on the verge of significant change that should resolve such problems as the lack of vital products and the backwardness of the Cuban economy. Modern Cuban foreign policy can be considered as a unique example of how a small state in order to protect its own vital interests can successfully apply a method of tactical diversification in setting foreign policy priorities.
