This paper explores the issue of international cooperation of India in the field of nuclear energy. The problem implies that in the context of growing energy demand in country, India pursues to increase general amount of energy produced through nuclear sector. This is necessary for maintaining a high pace of country's development and fast implementation of the projects that are primarily associated with cooperation with third countries. This idea is confirmed by numerous agreements on the construction of nuclear reactors according to the latest technologies in close interaction with the giants of the nuclear industry - the states of «nuclear triad» (USA, France and Russia). However, India has faced serious obstacle to achieving desired goals - post-Fukushima people’s strikes against development of nuclear energy in India, that affected much the implementation of nuclear programs. However, the competition on the indian nuclear market doesn't decrease. This is because Republic's nuclear market is the most promising and profitable for foreign partners. Generally, the development of indian nuclear sector has a positive impact on the energy industry of country on the whole, but its role even in the foreseeable future will be not enough significant.
