Vectors of Communicational Development of Curators Institute in Art Sphere: Russian Practica

This work examines the role of the curator in art-communications in Russia comparing to world practice and determine the vectors of its development during its whole existence. Namely, the instruments that the curators use to promote exhibitions, their importance during the work, criteria which determine the selection of artists work, and the principles that combined works of artists together in one exhibition. The paper covers different sides of the curators’ work and how the society and the government see and understand it. Moreover, as a part of the research, expert interviews with the curators from different countries on their own experience will explain their goals and tasks in the field. The findings of the study will prove the similarities in the development of Russian institute comparing to the world practice. Though establishing a historical background of Russian Federation the result of the development is different and the curators institute that we have now modify differently and has many unexpected practical benefits. Resemblance in the development unify it with world practice, but the understanding of the institute in Russia and its relationship with the government and society suspend this development and withdraw it from the functions of curators in the world.
