This research paper called Framing of economic crisis in Russian media explores the formation of public opinion of Russians on the topic of economic crisis in Russia. It is assumed that because of the specifics of coverage of the topic of the economic crisis in the most popular Russian media, citizens remain relatively relaxed about their present and future, in spite of the objective reality - the decline in living standards and real wages, growth of the poverty, investments freeze, absence of positive dynamics of GDP. This research is an attempt to explain Russians' insensitivity to the crisis captured by public surveys through the media analysis of major media outlets. Content analysis was chosen as the main method for research.
