E-Commerce Development Strategies on the Russian and Chinese Markets: the Case of Alibaba Group

Internet-related technological advancement constitutes an important driving force in the evolution of e-commerce market in China and on the global scale. The paper examines e-commerce strategies on both Russian and Chinese markets. Through the analysis of numerous factors and findings, the research proves the main impacts of multinational corporations on the development e-commerce markets. In addition, the case of Alibaba Group provides a successful example of well-balanced strategy for e-tailing business and a possible strategy for further development of Russian e-commerce market.
