Impact of M&A Deals on Financial Results of Banks

In this study, the author has set the task to identify the impact of mergers and acquisitions on the financial results of the bank based on the bank business FK "Otkritie". The paper deals with 3 acquisition of banks with the analysis of the possible potential bank goals. The second stage analyzes the effectiveness of these done by calculating the profitability of the bank's capital in every quarter. The study revealed that the acquirer bank can motivate his actions as a profit motive and non-financial motive. Another conclusion of the work was to identify important factors when choosing a potential bank's goals. When choosing a bank customer pays attention to the size of the bank and its effectiveness. Thus, we can conclude that banks FC "Otkritie" adhere to the strategy of buying large banks to increase their assets and take a leading position in the banking market.
