This paper examines parallel imports phenomena. The aim of this research is to find the optimal period of the ban on the PI. This work consists from three stages. The first stage is studiyng PI phenomenona: what are the reasons for the PI, what legislative aspects are using when regulated PI, the PI in Russia and, finally, examining PI from different sides. The second stage is a detailed analysis of PI models: conditions of models, behaviour of companies and governments - PI participants, description of the optimum strategy at PI. On the third stage we construct the model, which determines the optimal duration of the ban on PI, and formulate and evaluate hypotheses.
