How can a firm optimize routes for drivers with satisfaction of customers’ constraints and cost minimization? The answer to this question is the solution of the vehicle routing problem (VRP), which aims to find the shortest time route for drivers through all clients. The study examines both deterministic and stochastic VRP on the example of optimizing drivers' routes for commercial firm Fabrika Edy Ltd., located in the city Perm. In the research we use modern heuristics for solving vehicle routing problems. Moreover, we apply mechanism of route transformation (positional logistic management) and scenario analysis of traffic congestion in the city Perm. One of the vital results of the study is the reduction of company's transportation costs by 25 – 35 thousand rubles per month, which is equal to 15 % of total transportation costs.
