Optimization of Commercial Banks’ Rural Branches

Nowadays commercial banks pay special attention to optimizing existing branch networks. In current situation when banks are facing new realities and rebuild their policies in order to meet them, there is a problem of non-viable branches. The main result of this study is the conclusion of the feasibility of alternatives for the population to receive the necessary banking services, based on the analysis of data on benefits and costs for alternative banking. In particular, a key indicator for the calculations is the cost-benefit ratio.
