Grigory Sokolnikov at the Head of People’s Commissariat of Finance (1922–1926)

In this paper, we study the views of Grigory Yakovlevich Sokolnikov on economic issues in the period from 1922 to 1926. The chronological scope of research is defined by the feature of historiographical discourses. In particular, the paper identifies two trends in the historiography. First, this research considering biographical information about Grigory Yakovlevich. And work devoted to the analysis of monetary reforms and policies of the NEP as a whole. Thus, a fairly complete analysis of the monetary reform, the name of Grigory Yakovlevich remains on the sidelines with one hand. On the other hand, researchers, to mention the personality Sokolnikov in the period from 1922 to 1926 pay attention again to the experience of the currency reform, the views of Grigory Yakovlevich other questions concerning the period when he was at the head of the people's Commissariat of Finance, remain on the sidelines. For a more complete analysis of the problem were considered historical sources, in RGASPI. This Fund of Grigoriy Yakovlevich (670) and the Fund of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) – VKP(b) (17). These data archives allow us to reconstruct the views Sokolnikov in the field of fiscal policy, tax, financial and other.
