Changes in M&A Strategies of Global Media Companies in Digital Age

This master thesis is dedicated to identifying this changes and creating a recommendation for an optimal M&A decision for a global media company willing to save and gain market share in changing environment. The main aim of this master thesis is to identify and determine motives of media companies to consolidate in a new business environment which is an aftermath of a serious structural change within the media industry worldwide caused by a digital technological revolution in the globalized world. This master thesis investigates a hypothesis that the new reality in the media industry force companies to implement serious changes within it’s’ product portfolios as well as creates new drivers for consolidation and affects M&A behavior of global media companies.
