Corruption is a complicated phenomenon at the junction of the economic, political and social relations. In political science there is no consensus regarding the effect of political democratic orders on the level of corruption. However, it is widely believed that democracy constrains the economic and political corruption. In this study we are interested in a prior question: which effect has each indicator of democratic orders on the level of corruption in democratic states? We assume there is an influence of democratic orders on the variation of corruption level and the existence of a specific set of orders, which help to reduce public corruption. Examination of implementation of political and governmental democratic orders on corruption level from 2006 to 2014 in 94 established democracies supports this claim. To test the hypotheses we use regression analysis with building multiple linear regression and regression models with fixed effects.
