The process of the description and analysis of activity of a logistics company has become much more difficult due to the sophistication of logistics chains. As the system of the functioning of a logistics company and models describing it are complex, the most relevant tool for studying this system is the simulation. Simulation modeling is a modern method using the computing capacities of a computer for design, analysis and an assessment of the functioning of the object. All of the above mentioned demonstrate the urgency of this work. Transport company acts as the object of this work. The subject of this work is a simulation model of the activities of a transport company. The aim of this work is development of the simulation model of a transport company including both an assessment efficiency of company’s departments, and profitability of business in general. To achieve these aims the following tasks are to be fulfilled: • To learn the basics of simulation; • To identify key business processes of logistics; • To conduct a comparative analysis of software development of simulation models; • To build a simulation model, to carry out calibration and verification of model; • To make a number of experiments; • To describe the received results. At the first stage, for the solution to these tasks there were used various methods and instruments such as the EPC, BPMN notation in the design phase of the company. At the second stage, in the building model in the AnyLogic software product the method of system dynamics and process-based approach for the implementation of supply chain logic was used. At the final stage, experiments have been made. Moreover, the analysis of the used resources and profit, which companies make, has been accomplished. On the basis of this model optimizing tasks of maximizing profit have been solved, changing such parameters as: 1) quantity of warehouses 2) vehicle fleet size 3) Both above-mentioned parameters.
