Determination of the Borders of Using the Cloud Computing in Business Architecture of the Bank

This research raises the question of the boundaries of using cloud technologies in the banking sector. The aim of this work is the analysis of borders by examining the current state of the market, determining the most popular areas in the development of cloud solutions, analyzing the limiting factors of adoption of cloud services, as well as the risks and main problems. The most popular cloud services were examined: IaaS, SaaS and PaaS. During the research the trend towards a more active development of cloud technologies in the large and retail banks were revealed. Different levels of processes at Citibank Russia have been described using the ARIS methodology and, in particular, REPO deals processing procedure was considered in detail. On this basis the possibility of implementing cloud functionality at the operations department of the Bank was analyzed. TOE framework methodology was described and applied to assess the possibility of implementing new functionality.
