Journalist Undercover: Possibilities and Risks of the Method

The present study is devoted to classical and non-classical journalistic methods of reporting, and to undercover journalism in particular. The research is focused, mainly, on the effectiveness and the ethical, economical and legal peculiarities comparison of the undercover journalistic work and the reasons of its popularity decrease. The investigation is intended to lead to the observation of the undercover journalism possibilities and risks. Further study in this area could provide an algorithm in choosing the right tools during the journalistic investigation. The results of the performed analysis can be used by investigative and other journalists to understand the possible difficulties in using either one or another information acquisition methods.
