Typical Plot Development in Animated Series by Disney and Cartoon Network

The present study is aimed at investigating some major issues pertaining to the sphere of screenwriting and plot development particularly. Though the subject has been at heart of numerous discussions among both traditional and innovational scholars it seems to always include vast range of aspects that deserve in-depth analysis. The number of animated series as well as their popularity among the viewers nowadays grows intensely every year which leads the researchers of media to the necessity to investigate the possible causes of this phenomenon. This project attempts to set the trend in studying basic components of the plot in modern animation and their influence on the viewers’ perception. The results of scrutinizing plot development in prominent animated series of current decade will constitute extensive typology of typical plot twists.
