Particularity, Formes and Genres of Cultural Events Promotion on the Pattern of The XV International Tchaikovsky Competition

The study entitled “Particularity, forms and genres of cultural events promotion (on the pattern of the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition)” is aimed at determination of characteristic features of media coverage and press-service functioning in the cultural sphere. The study looks into several aspects of this theme. It compares the historical context and the present-day role of the International Tchaikovsky Competition, explores the peculiarities of the Competition coverage in Russian and international mass-media, and analyses the key aspects of the press-service activities, such as its interaction with journalists and the characteristic features of its functioning at various stages. The study also analyses the use of social networks as a new promotional platform. The above-listed aspects make it possible to explore this topic as profoundly as possible. The academic novelty of the study is substantiated by all-embracing illumination of the specifics of media coverage of cultural events similar to the International Tchaikovsky Competition. The work is of practical significance as well: its results may be used by marketing experts, PR specialists and journalists working in the cultural sphere. The study consists of introduction, two chapters subdivided into paragraphs, conclusion and a list of references and appendices.
