Venture capital is one of key tools of building national innovation system.The Russian Federation lags behind in innovative growth in comparison with many leading countries. Presence of specific barriers faced by small innovative companies is one of strong reasons for poor development of venture capital industry in Russia. In order to determine possible ways of overcoming barriers, there is a need forcomparative analysis connected with principles of startups development in different technologically developed countries, finding out background of success in development of venture markets and development some ways of effective development of Russian innovative startups considering modern Russian economic conditions. These paths will be identified on the base of examined data, namely, interviews with participants of venture business.
