The Existential Fundamental Motivations and Recurrent Dreams

The aim of this study is to establish the relationships and differences in the content of recurring dreams in the context of the fundamental existential motivations (FEM). The overview of the theoretical and empirical literature on the subject of recurring dreams was implemented; the theory of of existential analysis and conception of FEM were described. The empirical study of the content of recurring dreams depending on the severity level of the FEM revealed significant differences in the content of recurring dreams: the basic feelings, experiences, themes and elements that are typical of dreams at different levels of severity of FEM and specific relationships between the content and the content of recurring dreams FEM were obtained.
