The Effect of the Crises 2008-2009 and 2014 on the Quality of Life in Russia

The present work analyzes the impact of economic and financial crises of 2008-2009 and 2014 on the standards of living in Russian Federation. The author identifies and describes the main reasons that triggered the crises, and builds an econometric model to assess the level of influence of crises on the standard of living. In particular, the SARIMA model is applied, which, among other things, allows to give the forecast values for real cash incomes of the population.
