The article deals with the analysis of liberal conservatism in modern Germany and identification of its ideas and values specifics within the framework of cognitive linguistic, which allows to reveal the implicit ideas, views and values of the members of the party CDU. Liberal conservatism can be regarded as an intricate and divergent ideology, which attempts to combine the values and ideas, which are hardly combinable. The analysis of the thematic level of the discourse showed that such liberal categories as promotion of entrepreneurship, migration, the development of society of opportunities, intention to economic growth, protection of private property are balanced at global level by the conservative elements: Christian image of people, the importance of responsibility and order, the value of family. Nevertheless, the local level showed that rhetorical means as the means of the accentuation of information are applied only to the liberal ideas. Thus, liberal conservatism in Germany, represented by the party CDU, combines liberal and conservative ideas, moving to the left side of the political ideological spectrum.
