Application of International Experience in Solving Transportation Problems of Moscow

The purpose of this study: Determinate the main directions in solving traffic problems in Moscow, taking into account international experience. This study contained the following tasks: • Identify the cause of the problems in the transport system of large cities; analyze the evolution of the transport policy during the motorization of society. • Identify methods in solving transport problems of cities, which were successfully implemented by the international community. • Analyze the main elements of a new transport policy of the Government of Moscow. • Make forward proposals to increase the efficiency of the transport system of Moscow. During the study the hypothesis were confirmed that the solution of traffic problems in Moscow is only possible with the implementation of modern world trends. But with all the variety of solution methods, the main thing is a firm policy of municipal authorities in carrying out necessary but unpopular reforms.
