Corruption in Uzbekistan: Historical and Cultural Background

This study focuses on determining the historical and cultural factors that influenced the corruption in modern Uzbekistan. The paper deals with the emergence and development of corruption phenomenon in historical perspective with the help of historical and cultural analysis. The idea of ​​the modern corruption situation in government are illustrated through an analysis of in-depth interviews. Fundamentally new trends of the corruption development in the public service are identified, the role of clans is reviewed, the features of corrupt activity departmental and regional authorities are defined.
