Conversion of the standard dormitories at the art student housing in Russia

This research studies the problem of student housing designing. Target of research: buildings and campuses of student dormitories Subject of research: solutions planning, interiors and facades design. Tasks of research: to identify the main features of space-planning solutions of existing hostels, to analyze the disadvantages of projects in Russia, to examine modern trends. Aims of research: to elaborate the concept of the graduation design project of a student dormitory. The visual research based typical space-planning solutions were identified and the main disadvantages of student hostel design were stated. The study of foreign practice allowed to consider the experience of the establishment of student housing and their quality.
