Mobile Application for Organizing Cargo Transportation

This paper is dedicated to implementation of mobile apps for organizing cargo transportation. In this work, we present the basic concepts of client-server architecture development. Besides, we discuss technical features of geolocation services, providing communication between several apps, the cargo transportation process itself; development of mobile clients for iOS operational system (version 8.0 and greater). The aim of the work was to develop mobile apps (for customer and for driver). The main service for providing maps functionality, address search, displaying optimal paths to destination point, straight and reverse geocoding, is Google Maps API. For communication between apps we use ALASKAR Technologies company server. Using Google Maps API may result in similarity of visual appearance of apps for different mobile operational systems. It has bigger functionality than standart iOS MapKit framework. The paper contans 38 pages, 3 chapters, 9 illistrations, 15 bibliogaphy items, 3 appendices.
