Rapid Ethnographic Assessment is a method based on quick collection of ethnographic data and triangulation of data gathered with quantitative and qualitative methods. It is applied in community studies in USA and Europe, but could Rapid Ethnographic Assessment be applied on Russian local community? To answer this question, we conducted a research of Russian local community of city of Pushkino using Rapid Ethnographic Assessment. After analysis of data gathered in Pushkino we came to the conclusion that Rapid Ethnographic Assessment can be used on Russian local community, but we should pay close attention to specific factors of Russian local communities, such as low trust in local government institutions and low level of development of local communities in general.
