Forms and Causes of Resistance to Commodification of Virtual Goods

The present study relies on Igor Kopytoff theory of commodification as a process in order to analyze how videogame players resist to commodification of virtual goods. The paper investigates forms and causes of resistance to commodification, and the procces of singularization of virtual goods.
