Key words: business-process improvement, standartisation, automatisation, EDI-technology, standarts modification, stock management in a trading company Crisis in an automotive original equipment market in Russia makes trading companies search for ways to improve their effectiveness. One of the possible ways is a reduction of logistics costs making company's business processes work better. Aim of this study is to find internal resourses to reduce costs of a trading comany. This aim is being achieved by improving its logistics business processes using EDI-technology and implementation of stock management system.
