Factors Which Determine the Lack of Coreference in Russian Converbs

The work consists of three chapters (theoretical, research, experimental), conclusion, bibliography and two attachments. The theoretical chapter provides an overview of the literature, which adress the problem of the usage of verbal adverb phrases’ standard. The research chapter provides an analysis of the factors, which affect the use of infringement converb phrases in the texts of written and spoken language based on a material of the Corpus of Russian Student Texts and Speech Corpus of Russian Language. The experimental chapter describes an experiment, where the ratio of the impact of factors, such as participial phrases position on the matrix clauses and the presence or absence of the semantic subject of the main clause, to determinition of the degree of acceptability of the sentences was revealed by native speakers. The experiment showed that the most important factor for Russian native speakers is the position of participle phrases.
