In this paper I will, firstly, define the notion of Venture Capital and key principles of it. Secondly, I will describe the process of how VC Fund operates and the portfolio of assets held by it. Thirdly, I will discuss the division of VC portfolio by different types based on the type of the industry the fund operates in. And finally, provide empirical research on VC market in Russia and division of it by the types of industries.
