Economics of Happiness. How Living with Parents Influences Life Satisfaction

In this work an influence of living with parents and grandparents on the life satisfaction of individuals of age 23 or older in Russia has been considered. The results were not the same in all fourteen models considered. However, in 13 out of 14 models was that living with at least one parent has negative influence on life satisfaction of individual. Main result of this work tells us that life under the parents’ roof may negatively influence life satisfaction of an individual after 23 years of age, may possibly be explained by a limited independence, social pressure or overcontrol.
