Factors of Subjective Well-Being of the Employed Population in the Russian Regions on the Example of Saint-Petersburg and the Republic of Bashkortostan

In this paper, we analyze what factors affect the subjective well-being of the individual on the basis of the sixth wave of studies of regional values ​​"World Value Survey" for 2011-2012 for such regions of Russia as St. Petersburg, Leningrad region and the Republic of Bashkortostan. Using the linear regression method, we show that material values ​​are important determinants of the individual's subjective well-being for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. In turn, for Bashkiria the main factors that affect happiness are spiritual values.
