Participation in Cooperation Projects in Asia-Pacific Region as a Part of China`s Global Rise

The present study examines the activity of the People’s Republic of China in cooperation projects in the Asia-Pacific region and explores the role of regional economic projects in the emergence of China as a global power. The paper analyzes the dynamics and trends of China’s increasing global role and Chinese participation in the most important economic projects of Asia-Pacific. China’s modern cooperation with other countries within regional economic projects is assessed under the framework of the theory of economic and political regionalization and integration. The study also looks into the cooperation projects in Asia-Pacific which both Russia and China participate in and provides recommendations for Russia’s policy in the Asia-Pacific region.
