Portrait of a Character in Contemporary Lifestyle Editions: Formation Techniques

The present study focuses on the amount of formation techniques that journalists use to create a portrait of a character in contemporary lifestyle editions. Portrait formation techniques have always received a great deal of attention among researchers. However, this paper has become an increasingly important concern in terms of the increased popularity of portrait journalism. The project presents different approaches to creating a media-image according to some significant aspects such as the theory of portrait and hero, the target audience requests and the number of journalistic portrait genres. In this study historical genetic analysis, comparative analysis, content analysis, and expert interviews methods will be used to provide a better understanding of portrait formation techniques. The results of analyzing the key factors of making a portrait will contribute to the study of portrait journalism.
