The aim of this work is to develop a competitive application for Android - a game supporting the virtual reality technology: «Car Racing in Virtual Reality». Despite a large number of mobile applications supporting the virtual reality technology (VR), there is almost a complete lack of racing games with the capacity for a joint game connected by the internet. The overview of the free racing games supporting the virtual reality technology market along with the main disadvantages are presented in the work. The process of the virtual reality development implies working with the gyroscope of the device, distortion of lenses and various parameters of the head-mounted displays (HMDs), leading to realisation of an additional product within the framework of the graduation work, SDK, for a simplified development of VR on Unity game engine. During the development of the "Car Racing in Virtual Reality" game, physics of the vehicle, skeletal animation of the character, joint game mode, connected by the Internet and the support of a wireless controller for vehicle control were implemented. The paper contains 56 pages, 3 chapters, 33 illustrations, 4 tables, 40 bibliography items, 4 appendices. Keywords: Virtual Reality, Head-Mounted Display, Unity, SDK for Virtual Reality, Car Race, Car Race Multiplayer.
