These theories are then correlated by an in-depth analysis of strategic responses by Swiss and Japanese global watchmakers to technological innovations. The results of the analysis, and in correlation with the theories, indicate that both Swiss and Japanese global watchmakers pursue on different strategic actions in responding to technological innovation.
