Research of the Relationship Between Population Crime and Socio-Economic Factors

The considering paper is aimed to describe a proposed study that will be dedicated to studying the crime of the population and its primary socio-economic characteristics. The purpose of the study is to identify the significant factors of crime, both in economic and in the social spheres. The following approaches are supposed to be used during the study: statistical regressions, based on economic factors, which are connected to crime (education, GDP per capita, average income per capita, ets); panel data and time series analysis and some others. The necessary data is planned to be taken from different sources, such as Federal State Statistic Service and several open sources. Expected results of the study will let us understand what areas and activities in Russia should be influenced to reduce the crime index and increase the quality of life index. The present proposal consists of five main parts: the introduction, the literature review, description of the methodology, the report on the anticipated results and the conclusion.
