Legal Regulation of an Option to Conclude a Contract in the Russian Federation

This master thesis on the theme "Legal regulation of an option to conclude a contract in the Russian Federation" seeks to explore a novel of the Russian civil law - an option to conclude a contract, along with the application of relevant law, and doctrinal research on the matter. Reception of an option, which is a contract formed in the common-law jurisdiction, by the Russian legal system in the context of inadequacy of the law enforcement practice, and the lack of uniformity of theoretical perspectives in the field define the relevance of the study. In order to perform an integrated analysis of an optionto conclude a contract, examination of historical formation of an option, its legal nature, and the content of an option was carried out. allowing to identify the place of an option in the system of civil contracts. As a result of the study, the author suggests a conception of an option to conclude a contract as a special type of an agreement, which represents a possibility to enter into a deal with potestative contidions. Furthemore, the ways of improvements of legal regulation of an option to conclude a contract are provided.
