Development of the Master’s Degree Program «Foreign Language and Assessment of Language Knowledge and Proficiency Quality»

Having studied the burning necessities and motifs of the participants of the market, regional peculiarities, and requirements of the stakeholders, the project sets the goal to demonstrate the necessity of the institutional reform of teacher–training programs in close connection with in-service teachers’ needs in South-Ural State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University. The paper analyzed the Federal State Educational Standard and Professional Standards for Teachers requirements to find the contradictions and weak points in teacher-training programs. The project presents the stages of development and design of the master’s level educational program “Foreign language and assessment of language knowledge and proficiency quality” (44.04.01 - Pedagogy). All the structural components, goals, tasks and requirements to master the program were presented along with its content and methods of control. The module model of some subjects study was described. Since 2017 the educational program is being implemented in South-Ural State Humanitarian Pedagogical University and secondary school №1 in the frame of a net project.
