Ideology of the Ruling Coalition as a Factor of Modern Macroeconomic Policy in the OECD Countries

Partisan governments play an important role in elaboration of macroeconomic policies of the OECD countries: they manage fiscal policing and coordinate with Central Bank that conducts monetary policy. Ideology is crucial parameter of the ruling coalition. This research focuses on the influence of ideology of the ruling coaliton on macroeconomic policies of the OECD countries. The results show that the influence of ideology is conditioned by a set of social and economic factors, so the kind of the influence of ideology may differ depending on the conditions.
