The architecture is capital, accumulated over centuries. And every city with a historical and artistic background is a work of art that needs to be paid with attention. Though, sometimes even the most balanced complexes need to face the world changes and to keep up with the times. On one hand, the contemporary architecture is needed to improve the technical and climatic city problems that cannot be result in a different way. On another hand, in many European cities, the historical landscape of the city make this goal hard to archive. This contrast is easy to see in a place like Venice. This reflection will define the problem; give the general view on the state of architecture in Venice and on the possible solutions.
