Communicative Competence of a Public Servant as a Factor of His Efficiency

This study is devoted to identification of the meaning of the communicative competence as a factor of the civil servants’ efficiency. At the first part the author leads an analysis of the modern theoretical concepts on the essence of communicative competence and its components. Then, the author considers the peculiarities of the professional activity of a civil servant and the importance of communicative competence for the effective performance of civil servant’s duties. The paper also presents the author's research aimed at revealing the dependence of the efficiency of a civil servant on the level of development of his communicative competence, the result of which is the coefficient of linear regression, which indicates the existence of such dependence.
