Student: Stromov Yury

Supervisor: Natalia Kravchenko

Faculty: HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM HSE)

Educational Programme: Infocommunication Technologies and Systems (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2017

The object of study is resonator «counter pins» type slow-wave structures and calculation of their dispersion characteristics. The aim of research is to analyze dispersion characteristics of the structures dependence from their geometric dimensions. 3D modeling and calculating of slow-wave structure in HFSS program with further analysis of input data in MathCAD program taking into account the fact that the under consideration structures are represented as 2N-poles were produced during the research. As a result it was clarified that «counter pins» slow-wave structures are applicable in terahertz wave ban and how exactly geometrical parameters of the structure influence on dispersion characteristics. The results of the research can be used in modeling or development of amplifying microwave devices of terahertz wave band.

Student Theses at HSE must be completed in accordance with the University Rules and regulations specified by each educational programme.

Summaries of all theses must be published and made freely available on the HSE website.

The full text of a thesis can be published in open access on the HSE website only if the authoring student (copyright holder) agrees, or, if the thesis was written by a team of students, if all the co-authors (copyright holders) agree. After a thesis is published on the HSE website, it obtains the status of an online publication.

Student theses are objects of copyright and their use is subject to limitations in accordance with the Russian Federation’s law on intellectual property.
